Committees
NDWC focuses its efforts in three main areas of interest: Health & Home Life; Education & Conservation; and the Arts. Standing committees support each area and focus on identifying groups and projects within our community in need of volunteer and/or financial assistance. Every NDWC member is assigned to one of these committees.
Fundraising
NDWC sponsors several fundraising events each year, and 100 percent of the profits is distributed to local charities. Annual dues cover all overhead costs of the club. Some past fundraising events include a Spring Fashion Show & Tea, the Holiday Gift Gala, McLean Family Walkathon,Monte Carlo Night and Silent Auction, White Elephant Sale, Used Book Sale, Rummage Sale, Seasons of the New Dominion cookbook, and White House ornament sales. All NDWC members vote to support the year’s fundraising activities and are expected to actively assist with the organization and staffing of the events.
Fellowship
NDWC also exists to promote friendship and fellowship among its members, and sponsors social activities to bring members together. A fall potluck supper in October kicks off the club year, and our annual holiday party features an ornament exchange that gets quite lively! Summer activities have included a toddler picnic at Clemyjontri Park and a poolside happy hour.
