PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE !
PAST
The NDWC evolved from the Junior Women's Club of McLean formed in 1968 with eight members.
In 1991 the club moved from "junior" status in the VFWC to "general" status and was renamed the New Dominion Women's Club.
In 2000, the club was granted 501(c)(3) status. The club's fundamental purpose of community service and fellowship remains today as it did in 1968.
PRESENT
The NDWC is a civic organization, based in McLean, Virginia, committed to enhancing the quality of life
in our community through volunteer service and financial contributions while providing an opportunity for fellowship among women. We focus our
energies in three main committees in addition to our general fundraising efforts. These committees are
Health and Home Life, Education and Conservation and Arts.
Members are asked to donate their time and talents whenever possible to the many volunteer activities throughout the year. A majority of
the money donated to various organizations comes from the annual fundraiser. Members are also encouraged to join in other activities and social events
including potluck dinners, pre-meeting informal buffets, theatre outings and museum tours.
