May Members Meeting:
Menopause Let's Talk About it
McLean Community Center

Monday, May 19, 7-9pm

Picture

Please join us for our May membership meeting where we will listen to a timely and engaging topic for many of us: Menopause: Let’s Talk About It!
Presented by Adrian Thompson, PA-C | Vida Women’s Health.
A candid, educational chat about all things menopause!

We’ll cover:
What really happens during perimenopause and menopause
Common (and not-so-common) symptoms
Treatment options, including hormone therapy and non-hormone therapy options
Tips for thriving in midlife and beyond

Bring your questions! Notecards will be provided for you to jot down anything you’re curious about. After the short talk, I’ll answer as many as time allows. No topic is off-limits!

A Note from Our Presenter - I’m Adrian Thompson, PA-C, founder of Vida Women’s Health, with over 15 years of clinical practice. I’m also a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, providing expert, compassionate care for women navigating menopause, weight management, and sexual health. My mission is to replace confusion with clarity and confidence.

April Members Meeting and Mother's Day Baskets for Second Story
McLean Community Center
At the April Membership Meeting we made Mother's Day baskets for Second Story, a NDWC 2024-2025 beneficiary. Second Story transforms the lives of local youth and families by providing safe havens and opportunities to grow and thrive at critical turning points in their lives. Our members created Mother's Day baskets of spa items to show appreciation to the hard-working mothers in their programs. Many of these young mothers lack support and face significant challenges.

A full Boogie update with lot of pics of all the fun!

Thanks to everyone who came to this month's Boogie for a Cause gala event. We had a fantastic time dancing our platform shoes off. The costumes were dazzling, and the music was fantastic. Plus, we raised close to $10,000 for our beneficiaries. Thanks to everyone who supported our first inaugural Boogie party.

A great day for NDWC activites

Picture

Saturday, March 2 was quite the busy day for our members. We assisted Share with their
Stuff the Bus event, and in the evening, raised $1,100 with our Whiskey, Wine, and Wigs Party!
Thanks so much to
Katie Hanusik for hosting.

Bubbles, Baubles and Bags is a big success
Bubbles, Baubles, and Bags was held on February 4 at
Chain Bridge Cellars. Members and their guests enjoyed a lovely wine tasting, refreshments, and silent auctions for some lovely jewelry and handbags. We extend a big Thank You to our host, Doug House. Congratulations to Cam and her team for organizing this fun event, which raised $2,775.74 for our beneficiaries!
