​Call for Beneficiary Nominations for 2024-25

To nominate an organization, simply send Debbie Witchey ([email protected]) an email with a contact name and email for the organization you are nominating. Debbie will take care of reaching out to them to complete the application (a new, and hopefully easier, process this year!). 

Nominations must be submitted no later than September 30, 2024.  

​Also, if you would like to serve on the Beneficiary Selection Committee, please let Debbie know. The committee will meet on October 22.​

Upcoming Events / Volunteers Needed!
If you are interested in helping with the Falls Church McLean Children’s Center Fair 
Friday, Oct. 4, 3:30-5:30 p.m., please reach out to Jane Bohlin.
We need 4-6 people for our booth in addition to help with set with setup and clean up.

We will be participating in Reading is Fundamental (RIF) on Friday, Oct. 18  at the Falls Church-McLean Children's Center Fair at Lemon Road Elementary School. If you're interested, please reach out to Alisa Schultz 

We need someone to coordinate the Children’s Art Walk this year. This event is scaled down from previous years as it will be held inside the McLean Community Center. The MPA is handling the coordination of gathering the artwork from the schools, but we need volunteers on
Wedneday, Oct. 23 to hang the art at the MPA. Interested? Contact  Jane Bohlin

A great day for NDWC activites

Saturday, March 2 was quite the busy day for our members. ​We assisted Share with their
Stuff the Bus event, and in the evening, raised $1,100 with our Whiskey, Wine, and Wigs Party!

Bubbles, Baubles and Bags is a big success
Bubbles, Baubles, and Bags was held on February 4 at Chain Bridge Cellars. Members and their guests enjoyed a lovely wine tasting, refreshments, and silent auctions for some lovely jewelry and handbags. We extend a big Thank You to our host, Doug House. Congratulations to Cam and her team for organizing this fun event, which raised $2,775.74 for our beneficiaries!
